Abstract
This work aims to approach the problem of the integration of migrants in societies of explosive growth. For that purpose, it focus in a particular case: the city of Neuquén [Patagonia, Argentina] in the period between 1960 and 1990. Taking into consideration the marriage behavior of migrants of different origins, both intra and inter-and trans-Andean, the text will try to discuss the scope of categories such as melting pot, cultural pluralism and social pluralism. The paper analyze a documentary corpus consisting of about three thousands of marriage records taken from the Provincial Archives of the Civil Registry Department of Neuquén
