Kingship and Literature: Images and tensions in the tale of Two Brothers

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to explore the bases of Egyptian kingship, analyzing the features and functions of the king, just as the established way of ascension to the throne. The images proportioned by the discourse and formalized representations' pharaoh will be compared with the experience provided by a literary text: the tale of Two Brothers, which is an interesting sample to think about the irregularities and its forms of legitimating. The relation between kingship and literature will be another question to be examined
