Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of the present work is to discuss, from an economic perspective, different forms in which gender inequalities are manifested in the argentine labour market during the period that goes from 1995 to 2003. This period was signalized bay two different macroeconomic models (one of them is the convertibility, and the other, the subsequent to the peso's devaluation). However, this period is characterized by a high and persistent unemployment. In sum, this article will highlight the interrelations between gender and labour market. With this objective, quantitative information coming from the Permanent Household Survey (EPH) and the expanded user base (BUA) will be examined.
